Fun day yesterday! :D

After DD and I saw my new endocrine doc, we went on a mission of FUN!!! :D

First we went to a organic health food place, Smart Alec's, that had awesome burgers (DD) and tuna salad sandwiches (me) on homemade buns/bread. Fries BAKED, not fried. No greasy residue. YUMMY! This was on Telegraph Ave. in Berkeley, my old stomping grounds from my hippie days, and my DD's current stomping grounds, LOL! Nice to know SOME places are maintain their special auras over the years. ;) After stuffing ourselves on good food, we wandered down the street and into Rasputin's. We treated ourselves to some music (like the album I'm listening to right now) and DVDs on sale.

Couldn't find any RAMMSTEIN I wanted, but got the Wolfsheim album I'm listening to now, the Delerium's "Karma" album and one by Faith and the Muse, "Annwyn Beneath the Waves." All recommended by my DD. She's right on! I like them all! :P I also bought three of Vin Diesel's movies, "Pitch Black," "XXX" and the "Chronicles of Riddick." WOO! HOO! He is HOT! LOL! :P I hope he makes the planned last 2 Riddick movies to complete the trilogy. Interesting scifi.

DD came home with me after our spree, and we watched "Sin City" with DH, and stuffed ourselves with ice cream. :P It was quite a movie! I liked the format and and the old 40s-50s dialogue, like old detective movies. What a hoot! ;)) Disappointingly, not much re: bonus materials. DH heard on the radio they plan to re-release the DVD in a year, with loads more bonus materials about how the movie was made, the techniques for the special look, etc. Isn't that just like 'em -- make us wait, salivate and then make us pay again! HMPH! :P

DD & I discussed my upcoming hair color changes. I am hoping she can fit me into her schedule at the salon next week... It's free, too, as she is authorized to give freebies occasionally to family. YAY! :D I am going to have her streak in colors: aquamarine, emerald green, pale yellow, lavender, maybe pale blue, throughout my hair. DH is skeptical, but hey, I lived with "conservative" for jobs for years. I'm bustin' out now and have some fun!! ;)

I have also been wanting a tattoo for some years now. DD has a great guy who did her awesome ones, so I'll probably go there. I'm thinking of the 3 moon design (like this graphic:



but in black (no yellow and no block of color behind), with a "bracelet" of Celtic knots. On my left forearm, a few inches above the boney part of my wrist (DD says boney parts HURT to get tattooed). This is probably a couple months off. I have to recoup from yesterday's splurging... :=O

Something positive to do and contemplate. A relief from the war with the jerk mutants next door...and the frustration of having my hearing aid programming adjusted on Thursday, and having it STINK. :(( (I have to wait until next Thurs. for an appt. with my audiologist to fix the settings again. ARRGGHH!).
